LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Ada Robinson, whom Ada Robinson Elementary School is named after, died Monday, according to an email from Lincoln Public Schools.

Robinson taught at Clinton Elementary School for 30 years.

In her years at Clinton, she had become a fixture, building trust with school families, said Ada Robinson Elementary Principal Jeff Vercellino.

Ada Robinson Elementary School opened in 2022.

“Mrs. Robinson loved being here in our school and visiting ‘her babies’ as she affectionately called our students,” Vercellino said in the email. “She was here on opening day in 2022 with a beaming smile as she walked through the building that shared her name.”

Vercellino said his thoughts are with the Robinson family, as well as the “countless individuals who had the privilege to know her.”
